Productivity at work

Today let us discuss being productive at work.

If effective productivity can help us maintain a Happy Client engagement, a few hacks to attain it can motivate happy employees and create an overall healthy environment.

Today let us look into the insanely effective ways of being productive at work.

Decomplication: It is a process of boiling the problem to the simplest form. Distancing yourself from the artificial complexities, and overthinking can solve half the problem.

Negative listing: when we have a problem, our instinct is to add a new habit or find an alternate solution. But usually to improve your efficiency we need to identify activities that can be subtracted from the existing task list. Identify the distractions.

Speed Matters: The faster you do things, the less activation energy is required to do any one activity. To avoid procrastination, shorten the timeframe for the work that needs to be done and work faster. Pushing oneself to do faster than one thinks one can.

Hourly aspirational rate: Aspirational rate is how much an hour of one’s time is worth. If the worth of the job is less than your rate, it is better to automate or eliminate the task.

Calendar Practice: A calendar speaks more truth than a to-do list. A to-do list is always a Sunday evening theory. It is always good to block your time in the calendar for deep work.

Focus on high-leverage tasks: To maximize the output, always focus your time on critical tasks and double-check if the time spent is worth the value of the output from the task.

Top activity: If it is not what you want to be thinking about, it might indicate your focus shouldn’t be on it. The top activity in your mind must be the Ist take on for the day.
