Productivity vs Average Income

Since I started working on the end of last century, the global market as changed a lot.


Since then, I hear about Toyota Production System and the Japanese mind set as the maximum exponent of productivity.

Well let's do an analysis of the evolution of the last decades relatively GDP per capita.

Well we can prove that the 6 sigma was invented in the United States because the variation of GDP per capita growth is extremely reduced.

We can realize that the Toyota Production System and its Lean principles have reached their limit.


And I believe we would need to start trying to understand the Irish methodologies.

In the table above we can compare the GDP per capita of some countries, the average income per year and the minimum income.

And we can also confirm how well Ireland is running.

Looking specifically at my country Portugal, I can say that it's not bad at all, the average wage in China is almost half of Portuguese, and the minimum wage around one third.

But let’s stop looking down, let’s look up.

What we can do to duplicate the minimum income, triplicate de average income and more than duplicate de GDP per capita.
