Productivity during the Holy month of Ramadan

With Ramadan just around the corner, many employees will be rejoicing the advent of shorter workdays. For those who observe the fast, it is understood how hard some days during the month of Holy Ramadan may be. However as an employee, it is important to stay on top of his/her tasks and maintain high productivity levels at all times

It is discovered good eating habits, exercise that can help one go through Ramadan smoothly.

Eating Habits

A fasting person needs good, nutrient-rich food that provides the energy necessary for the priorities of daily life and it is imperative to balance one’s  diet during the Holy Month.

Ideal preparation for healthier food in Ramadan;

·      Use more fresh vegetables and fresh fruits

·      Use low fat milk and other low fat dairy products

·      Try using lean meat, fish, skinless chicken and prepare them by grilling, boiling and baking rather than frying

In order to get all the nutrients needed by the body, the meal should contain all basic food groups like bread and grains, fruits and vegetables, meat and legumes, milk and dairy products. Consult with a dietitian to figure out the right way to maintain a healthy eating regimen while fasting.

Exercising

The human body is incredible, even when fasting, one can still have the energy to work out.   Doing some light exercise when fasting is a good thing – it helps to keep the system working and blood circulating. Consult with a personal trainer about safe physical activity while fasting.

From my experience as a Document Control Manager even with shorter work days, tasks can be completed well within the time limit, if proper planning and time management techniques have been applied.

Wish everybody a very productive, healthy and blissful Ramadan.

Kind regards,

Thajudeen. K. A.

And what new are you bringing ? Use more fresh vegetables and fresh fruits ? · Use low fat milk and other low fat dairy products ? · Try using lean meat, fish, skinless chicken and prepare them by grilling, boiling and baking rather than frying ? Really ? are you sure ? did it take too much tine to check such claim? Where did you copy and past this from? This is what you need to do daily not only Ramadan and its a common knowledge. I love how easy to say " Consult with a dietitian" and "Consult with a personal trainer". My advise to the want to be advisers. Please don't. Be original or just practice your own advice in your own private home .

Some ' good eating habits and exercise' could be: 1- Don't eat deep fried and high sugar food 2- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables 3- Drink 8 to 12 glass of water between Iftar and Suhoor
