?? Product Tips #14: Smart Waitlists, Eliminated Sign-up Fields, and Sign-up Sequence

Some product tips on how to create?waitlists with the ability to get faster access; how?eliminating sign-up fields?can help to increase your conversion; and some recommendations on the?sign-up sequence.

?? Waitlists with the ability to get faster access

If you have a?pre-launch period?for your product, then I recommend trying a technique which can increase the number of users that want to be on your waitlist.

So, create a waitlist for people to try your beta and?reward anyone who invites a friend by reducing their wait time. Let's say someone invited a friend to join the waitlist, they?earned points?which led to a?faster invitation.

A very simple technique but it is worth trying ??

?? Eliminate sign-up fields

The easier the onboarding process, the better. Do you agree? ??

Try?ruthlessly eliminating unnecessary sign-up fields. On your sign-up form, leave only one or two fields. Let's say only two fields - Email address and Confirm email address. Other additional needed data?you will receive later.

It would be great also to add the ability to sign-up using Google/Facebook without any additional data. Again, other additional needed data?you will receive later.

?? A progress bar on your sign-up sequence

This tip can be a good addition to the previous one. Use?a progress bar on your sign-up sequence. Show how much of the sign-up process has been completed.

You can place the progress bar at the top of each page. So, the user will see the point where they are located. Let your users finish the process when they want.?Don't push?them ??
