This Chime Generator lets you choose from eight different synthesized chimes, each with up to 3 tones and 3 harmonics for a natural and pleasant sound. Certain chimes are single tones, and some are a sequence. You can select whether you want a single or repeated chime, or you can control the duration of the chimes externally by grounding the CONT (continuous) terminal.

The FP-CH8 Chime Generator features a MUSIC IN input for background music or paging audio, and an automatic ducking function that lowers the music level when a chime plays. ?Depending on your preference, you can set the ducking fade depth from 0 dB to fully off, allowing chimes to either be mixed with the music or to interrupt the music. ?The front-panel CHIMING indicator shows you when the music is ducked, and a chime is playing.

The FP-CH8 Chime Generator also has WAIT and IGNORE terminals that allow you to delay or prevent chiming action, and an external chime actuation that lets you trigger the chimes with an external switch.
