Today’s Product Spotlight features the D-TPS3A Active Three-Pair Sender. This three-pair audio sending module features an XLR mic and stereo RCA jack inputs and is compatible with RDL's Format-A twisted pair products.?

First, if you’re not familiar, Format-A products send, receive, and distribute audio signals with studio-quality performance.? They connect point-to-point instead of over a network, but the connectivity and ease of installation is very similar and very cost effective. Format-A uses standard CATx (CAT5 or greater) twisted pair cable to distribute three audio signals over three of the cable’s wire pairs (called Pairs A, B and C), plus, electrical power over the fourth pair.? It’s ideal for short and long?distance cable runs up to 3,000’ (900 meters) or more.? A minimum of one Sender must be connected to one Receiver to function.? Format-A offers a variety of modules to support Bluetooth audio, standard mic level and line level signals.?

The D-TPS3A’s mic input supports dynamic and condenser microphones and provides 24 Vdc IEC phantom voltage. ?Studio-quality preamplifiers ensure high quality sound, and a rear-panel GAIN switch allows for easy adjustment. The unbalanced RCA jacks are designed to receive standard -10 dBV line-level signals. The mic input is routed to Pair A and the left and right RCA jacks are routed to Pairs B and C respectively. These modules drive all three Format-A pairs, and therefore may not be connected to other Senders.
