Photograph or rendering?
It must have been 1996. I was at Loughborough University at the time, studying at the department of Technology & Design, in a student exchange program. It was then that I got addicted to 3D studio (RS4). As 'a would be industrial designer', this was paradise: making photorealistic representations and animations of designs before they were ever built!
Last year, I bumped into a 20 year old CD-ROM with a few hundred megabytes of my old work. I wasn't too impressed with the results, but instantly felt that overwhelming thrill again... Nostalgia!
Last week, I crossed Bart's computer screen in our Voxdale office, while he was working on an Orfit base plate (which is used as a support for positioning and immobilizing patients in radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging).
