Hey everyone, welcome back!
It’s been a while—since January, in fact. I’ve received more than a few messages asking where the newsletter disappeared to, and honestly, it wasn’t until the Product Tank Dubai event last week that I really had to confront the question. A few people asked me directly, face-to-face, and I had to admit the truth: the newsletter simply fell off my radar.
Between starting a new job (which we will be talking about in upcoming newsletters) and getting completely immersed in my work (because I'm having a blast and love what I'm doing), I unintentionally let the newsletter pause. But hearing your feedback and knowing that so many of you missed it really fired me up to jump back in. So here we are!
Moving forward, the focus of this newsletter will be shifting a bit. Instead of sharing my favorite articles each week, I’ll be diving into opinion pieces—either reflecting on a standout article or sharing a story from my own experiences (or someone else’s) in the product space. I’ll discuss how these moments have influenced me and what I’ve learned from them.
But why is the format changing? What’s up, Tony?
Let me explain why the newsletter is taking a new direction. First off, in my new role (which I’m absolutely loving, by the way), I just don’t have the same capacity to read as much content as I did before. Back when I was regularly flying between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, those flights were perfect for catching up on reading. Now, my schedule is a bit different, and I’ve had to adjust.
More importantly, I’ve realized it makes more sense to focus on applying my experiences and sharing my thought process behind the 1-2 articles or stories I’ll be highlighting. I want to dive deeper into these topics, challenge some of the points made, and acknowledge where I might see things differently. This approach allows for more meaningful insights and encourages a bit more critical thinking.
Additionally, by sharing some of my personal experiences, I hope to give you a peek into how my mind works. I want to be open about how I sometimes misjudge a situation but then manage to turn it into a positive outcome. I won’t be sharing everything, of course, but I believe it’s important to share our lived experiences so others can learn and grow from them.
I’m excited about this new direction and hope it resonates with all of you. Let’s see where this journey takes us!
So here we go again!
I’m really excited for what’s to come with this newsletter’s new direction, and I hope you are too! In the next edition, which will be the first of this revamped version, I’ll be diving into a topic that’s been on my mind lately—one that I think will resonate with many of you in the product space. I can’t wait to share my thoughts and hear what you all think.
As always, your feedback is invaluable to me. So, if there’s anything specific you’d like to see or any topics you’re particularly interested in, don’t hesitate to let me know. This is as much your space as it is mine, and I’m here to make it as engaging and useful as possible for everyone.
Since there will be some new twists to the content in this newsletter, feel free to share it with friends, colleagues, or anyone in your network—trust me, I won’t mind! :)
Until next time, I hope you all have a fantastic week. Stay curious, stay motivated, and I’ll be back next week!
Cheers,
Tony ??
