Product is a journey. Make it a good one.
it was interesting, educating, motivating - in short - inspiring presentation from Mixpanel’s Emiliano Argnani in our DATA+UX meetup
We had an incredible meetup yesterday, and one of the highlights was Emiliano's insightful talk on Product Journey Analysis. His presentation shed light on how gathering the right data in the right way can significantly impact your product's success.
Emiliano delved into the motivations behind user sign-ups and their intentions. He posed critical questions that resonate with everyone in the industry: What campaigns and networks yield the highest conversion rates? These are questions we all ask, but how many of us truly obtain comprehensive, actionable insights?
Understanding where and why users drop off in their journey is pivotal. Emiliano emphasized the importance of identifying friction points and associating a dollar value with these drop-offs to better understand their impact on revenue.?

Owning the entire customer journey is vital. This journey encompasses numerous components and generates massive amounts of data. The only way to manage and optimize it is through thorough understanding and control of every single parameter and its effects. This process, however, isn't confined to a single team or department; it spans the entire organization. It’s crucial for us to apply this approach and knowledge across the board, ensuring that everyone involved in the customer journey knows the right data and implements the right tools- that’s another reason why analysis tools are crucial and perfect UX design is key. Only when we have full mastery of data we can conclude the right insights and people use things with high usability. The ease in which data can obtained and analyzed is key.
