Product Development journey...My story
When I was considering products, my books were my products. I have been figuring out all these parameters to enhance product development capability.
As I am the coach for product organizations, I am employing the same knowledge to build my products.
It truly establishes “Walk the talk”! I am not preaching, I am applying to substantiate my product management capabilities.
Every product caters to a problem space and solution for that space.
What is my problem space for these books?
On the transformation journey, I was consistently looking for ideas that could be implemented in the context I am operating.
The existing books available in the market are not distinct from the context where I was operating. I was not able to get the right ideas from those books. The time consumption was high.
Those books are not offering me the suggestions which I was looking for. I had to spend a lot of time experimenting.
I was thinking of an integrated solution for all the problems related to the Transformation journey, which I was not getting at one place.
To solve this problem, I have started capturing those in blogs that people were liking. A couple of my mentors proposed consolidating those blogs and sharing them with people who are in need of those guidelines. That is how I was considering introducing these solutions as a book.
I call them nowadays “Knowledge-tree Guidebooks".
It is a system that I am trying to establish that can be practiced by any Agilist to confront the complexity in the transformation journey.
A few points I have applied to produce these books, I have asked a few questions:
To build these products iteratively, I have been launching each book every year.
There are many unknowns in the problem space. I am interacting with many of my readers or potential readers to collect input from them. I am incorporating the same in my next book.
I have been getting immense help from my reader's community. I must acknowledge them. Without them, scaling would be difficult.
My readers are my users/customers, I am assuring their needs are addressed. The kind of problem they are encountering and which are not satisfied by the other solutions, my solutions serving them.

So far, these books have sold 2500 copies in these 4 yrs journeys. More numbers of readers are reading, more books are producing.

In the Product development journey, I am completely applying all the prescriptions written by great marketing gurus. I must share that without great marketing no product can scale!
