ProcureAbility Attends the ISM World Conference 2022

The?ProcureAbility?team had an incredible experience attending the?Institute for Supply Management (ISM)'s World Conference 2022?in Orlando, Florida, from May 22nd to the 25th. Our conference team included myself,?Kristen Rellihan,?Jake Taylor,?Danielle Miller, and?Rana Karimi.?

My colleagues did a fantastic job representing ProcureAbility and our unique service offerings while exhibiting at the conference. ProcureAbility is constantly looking to reduce our carbon footprint, so we were thrilled ISM World was paperless this year. Our booth displayed our materials digitally, with engaging media that included QR barcodes so that conference attendees stopping by could have the content available instantly at their fingertips.?

Although the conference was scaled down from previous offerings pre-COVID, our team was able to meet and reconnect with many talented procurement professionals across a variety of industries, including Utilities, Consumer Products, Chemicals, High Tech, Pharma, and more. We had many rich and insightful conversations. Our?Staffing and Recruiting?and?Market Intelligence?offerings were of particular interest and a common theme across many of our conversations, given the increased volatility we have been experiencing with labor, supply shortages, and price escalation. Over the coming weeks and months, we look forward to continuing those conversations and supporting the evolving needs of the industry.??

The team also had the opportunity to attend thought leadership sessions during the conference. Some of the key topics discussed included ESG, Data & Analytics, Intelligence, Supply Chain Resiliency, Change Management, and DE&I. The industry is in a unique position right now with many rapidly evolving needs and priorities. Procurement leaders will need to mesh these focus areas into their strategy to innovate.??

On Monday evening of the conference, Kristen and I attended the?Richter Dinner,?a recognition ceremony for the R. Gene Richter Scholarship recipients. As Silver Sponsors for the Richter sponsorship, ProcureAbility was invited to network with many bright collegiate Supply Chain students and other sponsors of the prestigious program. After connecting with so many talented students, we feel the future is bright for the Supply Chain industry! We were proud to support this event and the future leaders of our industry.?

We also had the pleasure of hosting a fun Dessert Reception for guests that we had met throughout the duration of the conference. Our Dessert Reception provided an opportunity to mingle and socialize with each other in a relaxed setting. During the reception, Jake gave a toast celebrating the opportunity to be in person again. We had a great night of fun and networking with our guests. The evening was bright and lively with glowsticks, prizes, dessert, and terrific company. We would like to thank our fellow procurement colleagues and friends and who were able to stop by and say hello.??

During the conference, we also celebrated Rana’s work anniversary, as it coincided with our time in Orlando. It was a special opportunity to celebrate an important career milestone together in person.??
