As a business owner or a person in the direct selling industry, lost time equals lost opportunity, and our most successful Cooper Professionals Reps can all agree on the importance of taking action now, not later. That is, they aren’t willing to damage their businesses through prolonged procrastination.
Unfortunately, almost everyone is guilty of putting responsibilities off from time-to-time. Here are a few tricks to help you power through procrastination.
Get Started Early
Do you want the lion's share? Start your day off right by committing to knocking out at least a couple of tasks first thing in the morning. If you’re putting off making that first phone call, you will find more ways to delay it as the day goes on.
Break Work into Smaller Steps
We often procrastinate because subconsciously, we find the work is too overwhelming. Instead, break it into small tasks and then focus on one task at a time. If your system for success proves different from others’, don’t worry. All that matters is your routine works for you.
Change Your Environment
Business meetings can be stressful enough on their own without the anxiety of a busy coffee shop or restaurant. Instead, change things up and invite people to a more peaceful, laid back location. Give presentations where you feel most comfortable and in your element. Get out and run with the big boys or girls
Keep it Simple
Don’t over complicate things by waiting for the perfect time to take action. This could lead to a long, wasted time of waiting. Now is always the best time to act.
Remember, nobody has ever procrastinated their way to success! After tackling your procrastination, you’ll gain the momentum you need to stay on course as you build your business. And like a domino effect, every following task will become easier to accomplish. The longer you spend not procrastinating, the greater your chances of breaking this destructive habit for good! - See more at: Cooper Professionals
