?? Procrastination.
Procrastination isn’t a problem or a thing.
It’s an illusion.
We’re always not doing something.
In favour of something else.
Even if the something else is lying on the sofa.
Procrastination isn’t ever the problem.
What we’re imagining and giving our awareness to is.
The root cause of all experience is our awareness and how we’re filtering it.
Filtering with our assumptions, beliefs, expectations and mental stories.
Whether we buy into what modern science tells us or we don’t…
We can’t deny that our life is made up of what we perceive with our senses right now and what we’re imagining.
Our experience of life is mental.
Even materialist scientists are now accepting what Quantum physicists have been proving for the past 120 years...
Our entire experience is rendered in the mind relative to how we’re conditioning our awareness...
Argue for our limitations and they’re ours.
Internalise health, abundance, freedom and ease and they’re ours.
Tell stories of struggle and lack and give awareness to our doubts and fears and what’s wrong with us or the world…
And our experience follows.
It has to.
We always get more of what we give our awareness to.
Trying to fix a problem perpetuates or grows the problem until we shift our awareness to what implies we have the solution.
Uncomfortable news for the ego perhaps but liberating for our soul.
Trying to overcome anything is giving our awareness to it.
What we resist persists.
We can’t keep giving our awareness to a problem and experience the desired outcome.
So procrastinating with something or anything is only the effect of what we’re bringing to our awareness.
We're just experiencing our mental stories.
And thankfully, once we're aware of this, we’re free to choose differently any time.
Feelings, behaviours and results are not the outcomes of what we do or don't do.
They’re the outcome of what we’re giving awareness to.
In other words, what we’re bringing to life.
And we’re either thinking (intellectually and emotionally) from the outcomes and experiences we’d Love…
Or we’re consciously or unconsciously thinking from our circumstances or fears and trying to change or get rid of them.
Meaning we get to experience them and keep them.
Trying to overcome procrastination (or any problem) means we have our awareness on the problem.
And trying to get away from a problem means it invariably stays with us..
Or we end up playing an endless game of whac-a-mole because we've not learned it's not about what we do, it's about how we're filtering our awareness.
Thinking FROM the desired outcome and not TO it is the only shift that's required.
So don’t make procrastination a thing.
It's not something any of us need to overcome.
It can’t exist without your inner story about it.
So tell the story of what you'd love instead. ??
Because abundance, health, fulfilment and freedom are our birthright..
And when we're aware of how the mind projects experience in relation to how we're consciously or subconsciously filter our awareness, we're free.
We're free from the tyranny of believing in secondary causes.
And we're aware that whatever we want is a choice.
We just can't experience it if we're not being aware of it.
** N.B. - the mind is not the brain.
