We all have parts of our job that we cannot stand. We can only procrastinate for so long before it will interfere with impact and productivity. Try these tips that work for me:
- Schedule time the day before that you will work on that project the next morning. Schedule only 30 minutes on the task. You may find that you just keep going and get it done as sometimes it’s getting started that is difficult.
- Get an erasable board and post your key weekly goals. You will get tired of seeing that same project on the board week after week and you will get it done so you can erase it.
- Remind yourself that finishing a dreaded task or project is energizing and that you will feel better once you get it done. You may notice this even when you clear clutter off your desk or spend time organizing files.
What tips work for you? Share them with me. I'd love to hear from you!
