Procrastinate, why to?
Have you ever noticed that you suggested someone to do something for their own benefit and the reply comes, "Just in a moment, I'll do it just in a moment." Or there are situations when one has to respond immediately and still they whisper to themselves "just in a moment". They are stuck in a JAM and will do that for you too.
If that particular moment is not that important to act, how can the next whatever imagined moment be important? And the same people pay a bigger price for not being able to take the opportunity to act in that given moment. They procrastinated then and they will procrastinate now and in future. Why? Because procrastination has become a habit ever since they started learning to say "just in a moment."
There is no other moment left in a persons life if not that immediate moment. Doing what can be done later at some point can be done now too. Now is the time to act. It does not matter if each act is a successful one. What really matters is to act now and not leave it for next time. The benefits of acting now are many and to name a few:
1. No pending jobs anymore
2. Shows the accountability
3. Builds trust in self and with others
4. Builds confidence to act further which builds a better self-image
5. Freedom from fears
6. Prevents future losses
7. Becomes a habit to act now.......
There are so many benefits for being in action whenever we have to. The next time you are tempted to repeat the phrase "just in a moment", consider, that very moment to be the moment you might have mentioned in the recent past. Act now, its a sure way to success and happiness.

5 年With such a good article why has more people not reviewed and left comments? I find it puzzling why good articles have so few likes while there is some less creative posts getting high reviews. Great post Sukhi!

5 年A little effort in the right places goes a long way! I loved to read this, I especially liked the "JAM" statement. I had never thought about the destructive nature of "Just in a Moment" like this before, very insightful. And, it is true, I used to be a big-time procrastinator until I graduated college and started to realize that there is more reward to doing something now as opposed to later. Great read, keep up the good work Sukhi!

6 年"Other Persons time is Important So is Ours". When we understand this then probably We can very well understand how to deal with issues related to" procrastinate, why?". All of us have time but when tag of personal importance or ego or personal gratification gets attached to it then the issue starts getting bubbled. However I appreciate that value of time or timely resolution of any task with due respect to others time must be followed. It increases the credibility.

6 年Wonderfully crafted article Sukhi Longia. The #courage is confronting the tough situations now and not postponing. These situations are inevitable, these will come sooner or later. These will also come and go but You are the only not going anywhere. If you run away from them they will catch you. It's like epidemic, one has to get cure in order to get rid of it. So Just #Face it. Thanks for the energizing thought.
