As a process technician, your main responsibilities before and during start-up include:
1-Assist in pre-start-up safety review (PSSR).
2-Carry out start-up procedures safely and efficiently.
3-Properly align equipment, piping, and control valves.
4-Start and control rotating equipment.
5-Maintain process conditions within operating limits.
6-Coordinate work activities during start-up.
7-Monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
8-Manage hazards to personnel, environment, and equipment.
9-Maintain safety equipment and participate in health monitoring programs.
10-Manage control of work procedures and permits.
11-Conduct hydro testing and integrity tests for equipment and piping.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe facility.
Maintaining good housekeeping during start-up helps mitigate hazards and improve efficiency by reducing potential hazards and ensuring tools and equipment are available when needed.
