The Process
Patience is a virtue that most people just don’t have. In this society of instant gratification, it’s rare to encounter people who can truly be described as patient. I suppose experiencing impatience in the midst of a traffic jam isn’t a huge deal, but allowing it to creep into the other more important areas of life can spell doom for your dreams. Impatience is a vice that prevents you from following through because the results you want seem to be taking way too long to show up. Impatience is what creeps in and sabotages your faith; it makes you question whether or not you’ll ever meet your goal. It skews your perspective so that instead of enjoying the journey, you wallow in anxiety. Impatience highlights the obstacles and disguises the possibilities. Impatience will inevitably cause you to abandon the process and without the process, there can be no destination.
“The Process” is the journey or the road you must take in order to get from where you currently are to where you ultimately want to be. It’s the process you MUST endure in order to get to your desired destination. I’ve seen so many people who thought they could bypass “the process” and still end up in the right place but I’ve never seen it happen. People think the destination is all that matters but the truth is, the process is what molds you into the person you must become before you can change your life. If you want to change your life you have to change yourself. That’s what the process does for you; it forces you out of stagnant comfort zones and stretches you to new limits so that you can sustain the new levels of success. In the absence of “the process”, overnight millionaires like lottery winners and professional athletes end up right back in poverty.
The process is there to teach you and strengthen you; it’s there to make you more than what you are right now. A mother endures 9 months of pregnancy and an excruciating labor ordeal before she can finally embrace what was inside of her the whole time. Once she gives birth, she forgets all about the pain she experienced because she is overwhelmed with the gift of her labor. Yes, it can be long, hard, scary, and disappointing but, the lessons you learn inside the process will more than reimburse you for your struggle. But, only if you withstand the whole process. If you quit, you lose. You forfeit the growth, the journey, and the destination. There is no growth separate from a process.
Patience breeds perseverance.
Perseverance is your vehicle through the process.
Process is the only pathway to progress, and
Progress is what gives human beings fulfillment.
My process was painful, embarrassing, and full of mistakes. But it made me into the man that I am today so I wouldn’t trade those experiences for the world. Through it, I developed a philosophy that helped me retire before the age of 40- Dream Big, Never Give Up. If it was easy everyone would do it.

9 年Well said.... The process... Not a microwave instant fix... Once you reach your destiny through a process, you remain humble, thankful, and can shed light (testify) to those on their journey.
