PROCESS ARCHITECTURE: Blueprint Your Business As You Would Your Dream Home

The header image you see for this article is the blueprinted "process architecture" for ONE sales funnel I created for the business of one of my clients.

This isn't process architecture for marketing. This isn't process architecture for operations. This isn't process architecture for OTHER sales funnels we use. This is the process architecture for ONE SINGULAR SALES FUNNEL in the business, and in a well "designed" business, it makes good sense to fully think through and design every single aspect of the processes of that business, on paper.

I'm a Process Architect. Most of the work I do in this space is not 1:1 consulting. It is generally through my company, Intention Mastery LLC (https://IntentionMastery.com).

Along with online process blueprints and programs that run on autopilot, designed specifically for small business owners running high 6- to mid 7-figure companies to go through those programs at scale, I work with 1 to 2 business owners per year in a personal, 1:1 consultative capacity.

Though my 1:1 consultative work is extremely limited, I still get a lot of inbound requests. What I can tell you is that 9.9 times out of 10, though they are running mature small businesses, many times with healthy margins, the business owners who reach out to me generally have ZERO documented Process Architecture in place in their business, even the ones running mid 7-figure companies.

What exactly is process architecture, you ask? I'll answer that question with a question...

Would you ever in a million years trust a a general contractor to build you a beautiful new house, without first having a reputable architect DESIGN a proper blueprint for the house?

No? Wait - you mean you wouldn't just "start on the house" and assume that you would "figure it out" along the way, how to get it built properly with electric, drywall, plumbing, roofing, hvac, etc all up to code?

No? Wait - you mean you wouldn't just "trust" that you'll have the right flooring, cabinets, windows, bathrooms, custom kitchens, and all the appointments without a plan on paper that details HOW and WHEN all that is going to happen, with inspections along the way to ENSURE that the work is correct?

No? Then why do you think it makes sense to build your business without one? Without a blueprint for your marketing, or sales, or fulfillment and operations, why is it a shock when stuff constantly goes wrong, when you constantly come up short of your goals with respect to lead generation (marketing), and customer acquisition (sales)?

Those documented blueprints are the "Process Architecture" for the most critical areas of your business.

Ever hear people talking about "making money while they sleep?" It's because they put SYSTEMS in place to work on their behalf, and more often than not in 2020, it's because they gave their software a JOB to do on their behalf.

No different than humans, as my friend Chris L. Davis of AutomationBridge.com says, you have to "give software a job." Without clearly defined directions, JUST LIKE HUMAN BEINGS, it will sit there wasting your time, wasting your money, and producing no results. But with a clearly defined plan? WATCH. IT. WORK.

"If you can't see it, you can't say it, and if you can't say it (articulate it and WRITE IT DOWN / DRAW IT OUT), you can't do it."

When there's no "process architecture" defined in print for the marketing, sales, ops, or assessment and reporting of a small business, at some point, this results in growth slowing, or grinding to a halt altogether.

It's because this results in challenges onboarding and training team members, because there are few to no processes defined, or because they are not able to scale their sales and marketing strategies, due to no clear PROCESS being in place to track / measure / quantify / execute at scale.

My company has created a number of online process blueprints and programs that help entrepreneurs all around the world identify / create, articulate, document and implement processes specific to marketing, sales, operations (ESPECIALLY operations), and data-based assessment (which informs marketing, sales and ops), to amplify their growth, and make their revenue trajectory predictable.

We also have programs specifically for SMEs, that guide them in a systematic process to create passive income online, through putting their expertise into the form of AUTOMATED online courses, and strategic podcasts.

Just because you're a small business owner, doesn't mean you can't THINK like a start-up, but RUN like an enterprise.
