Problems or Solutions

If you are a leader or a manager this is for you! I hear in many places that the leaders and manager says

"Don't bring me problems, Bring me the Solutions!"

There are various types of leadership methods we speak out there. And we see there is a huge pressure building around a leader or manager beyond their capabilities or capacity. with all these concerns let's address the above statement. You as a leader or manager with a career plan to be a business leader or a CEO you need an exposure into the overall business acumen. It will increase shrewdness in making decisions in situations.

While working with a team or manging a team, you are always looking for highest result out of each one of them. It's not a fault. Meantime you expect none of them to bring problems and issues but to bring solutions as well! This is a slip. And this will lead you to the plummet bottom of the mountain.

If you do not let your team member to bring his/her issues and problems to discuss with you, subsequently they will stop bringing in those to you if they don't have a solution as you expect. These scenarios’ will lead you losing the grip of the business and the team as well. Moreover, you let go a discovery opportunity for a problem in your team. You lose an opportunity to understand the root cause of problems around you. Rather than only admiring the subordinates who bring solutions, start appreciating the one who brings problems as well.

Leadership is not about power. Many think it is about telling and controlling, but as a discovery leader you should listen, guide, mentor and address the issues or problems they are bringing in.

This will create faith on you. Sometime they will start thinking creatively. If you want to be a leader who wants to discover the potentials in team members, employees, customers, suppliers and business, then keep your doors open and listen to the problems of all the stakeholders. Eventually, you will be a master to give a solution for most of the complications within your organization. Finally, it will lead you to be a leader for long.?
