Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, has many problems, one would be the high cost of living along with quite less livable in the Global Livability Index 2023 and Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). It secures a spot on the index as the 166th livability in the world.
Dhaka is the busiest city in our country. We can see that every day there are more and more people coming here as well as rising white-collar jobs, that’s why, creating a high demand for everything. Additionally, there is a lack of visionary plans and poor management, creating an unlivable situation in the city. It is also because all citizen facilities are centralized and less accountability of the government personnel. They have been practicing dishonesty, which results in, there is no sustainable development.
If you want to take all the citizen facilities, you must pay to bear additional payments. Undoubtedly, it is a burden for the common people where 40%-50% of people come from lower-middle income families. They can not afford the fundamental needs.
