Getting complacent, feeling invincible and floating in comfort zone of 'been there, done that' can deflate not just an individual but an entire organization. You need to get to the ground each time, with a new challenge and lead your team and organization to pave their way. Sitting in the back seat with a cushion of comfort, will only open new doors to comfort zone.

Cruise Control-It may be a fabulous feature in cars & aeroplanes, but it can be quite a spoiler in human beings.

As is well known the Japanese love of fresh fish, the fascination of fresh fish left hardly any fish in the near shores of Japan.

The fishermen built bigger boats, went farther from shores to catch fresh fish. Unfortunately the journey back didn't leave the fish fresh. New Challenge Emerged-Freshness in itinerary. Solution saga-Freezers on the boat !!

Another New Challenge-Frozen fish started threatening the entire fishing business. Wise fishermen with new solution-Fresh water tanks installed to bring fresh fishes back home.

The challenge continues-As tank got stuffed with fish, fishes flapping around and slowly lie resigned to their fate. Motionless. In-active. Dull. They wanted fresh fish not sluggish fish !!

Shark in the Tank-With new crisis of sluggish fish, yet another innovative solution. In each tank, fishermen put in a small shark. The shark kept the fish active, running around, busy. Sure the shark ate a few fresh fish but the threat of sharks kept the fish active & healthly.

We are like fish too, we need that shark to stay sharp. In case you or your organization is slowly slipping into comfort zone, it may be good idea to bring in a shark. Get outta the comfort zone !!
