A Problem Factual Defined is Half Solved.

A Problem Factual Defined is Half Solved.

When we were in school, most of us had to do word problems in math class. ?

The first step in solving the problem was to clarify what it was really asking. Only then could we calculate the answer. ?

It turns out that solving problems in life is a lot like solving word problems in school. We must first stop and clarify what the problem is really about. ?

The sticky thing about resolving problems is that many times we don’t take the time to objectively look at the circumstances and determine the outcome we want. Instead, we rush to reaction mode. This is what’s wrong. This is how I feel about it.?And this is who’s to blame.?Reaction mode is almost always emotional and often our "story" gets involved. Drop the story then drop the emotion and get to the facts!

Facts have no emotion clouding the picture. Facts are simply, "what is". Facts allow us to clear our screen/filter that we view life and the problem through. This enables a clear non-judgmental view of the problem.

We can save ourselves a lot of time, frustration and conflict if we can step back and see a problem for what it is......the facts only. Once we have that clarity, not only is the problem half solved… it’s much easier to create a solution where everyone wins.?
