The problem with AI generated content
AI tools like ChatGPT can be absolute lifesavers. I know they’ve saved me hours, probably days of work. They’re great for sparking ideas, filling knowledge gaps and stopping you from staring at a blank page like a confused goldfish.
However, the majority of the time you can always tell when something has been written by AI. It’s too polished, too structured, it’s like a perfectly arranged bookshelf that no one actually uses.?
When you let AI take the wheel completely, a few things happen:
You start using the same words and phrases that AI loves. I am sure you all know the ones I am talking about, the AI buzzword bingo.?Thrive, delve, landscape, fostering and elevate, you get the drill. The list at this stage is endless.?
Now let’s move onto grammar. There are times I am having to refrain from commenting on social media content when I am scrolling. I think at this stage people are just typing what they want and not reading it, it's a copy and paste job. Let me tell you this, it stands out like a sore thumb.?
I am not against AI, AI is great but only when you use it correctly. Here are my top tips:
