Probability of 50% / 50% chance….

What if I said, every situation has a positive intent… don’t dwell too much as yet but wait for me to get to it in some time.
I often hear people saying, I cannot move forward… I feel stuck… I wake up anxious.
These feelings are coming from a place of unknown. If you knew exactly what it would look like or be like, would you feel what you are feeling - HELL NO!.. you will feel differently - happy, alive, and spirited. So, how do you tap into the unknown?
Let’s take a situation if you are trying to look for a new job opportunity and you are unable to find a desired one yet. What is the probability of finding that desired job for the effort that you are putting in?
50% / 50 % chance which is guaranteed (the % might go higher based on your belief on the work you did but at the least, there is a 50% chance to consider).
So what would happen in the 50% / 50% case? You either get that job or you don’t.
What happens if you get the desired job? You are happy.
What happens if you don’t get the job? The natural human instinct is to feel sad, frustrated, or anxious or overthinking.
Instead, if you are aware of this other 50% that might not work, you will probably start building a plan B which can bring to 50%/50% chance and dig deeper. You will start creating more options for yourself than just feeling stuck or frustrated.
When you start creating more options for yourself - you are creating FREEDOM, FLEXIBILITY, AND CHOICE for yourself. You will never feel stuck, anxious, or fearful, or anything else.
This goes with any situation in our life - be it relationships, career, finances, or any goals…. Look at the probability and dig deeper. Check which direction you are letting your energy flow - is it towards the 50% that’s limiting you or towards the 50% that’s empowering you?

4 年Well written Prashanthi Reddy!!! This sounds very basic but we hardly put this into perspective especially when we are pushed into a corner. Desperation kicks in and our minds do not function in a planned manner. I would recommend applying this regularly in your day to day life with small activities so this becomes an habit. ??
