Proactive Communication vs Reactive Communication
Hello Reader,
Imagine this…
A brand sent you a message that is completely irrelevant to you. What would be your first reaction?
*BLOCKED*
It's a no-brainer not to lose sight of the fact that communications should be carefully planned and thought out. As a marketer, it’s important to think about what your brand wants to say and when, and who your audience is.
The best way to approach communications to build brand trust is to be proactive rather than reactive, which puts you in control of the narrative.
Proactive communication refers to communicating in advance to avoid problems or to inform others of important information. It is the opposite of reactive communication, which occurs after a problem has already arisen.?
Let’s face it.. it's always better to know things ahead of time rather than knowing them on the day of their occurrence. For example, if your brand is having a product launch on 21st March, it’s better to inform your customers before the 21st rather than the day itself.
Proactive communication allows for better planning and decision-making. When individuals and organizations communicate proactively, they can anticipate potential problems and make contingency plans accordingly. This means that they are better prepared to deal with unexpected events, and they can make informed decisions that are in the best interest of all parties involved.
