Prizma attending GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards feedback event in Chicago
This year the GRI G4 Guidelines will transition to GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards (GRI Standards). The changes primarily involve improving the structure and format of the content from G4 - so this is not G5 in disguise.
According to the GRI, the new Standards will include all the main concepts and disclosures from G4, enhanced with a more flexible structure, clearer requirements, and simpler language. The transition aims to make the GRI Standards more accessible for reporting organizations and policy-makers, and to encourage more consistent, higher quality sustainability reporting, focused on material issues.
The United States working session will be facilitated by GRI’s Director of Standards Bastian Buck. The event will be hosted by Edelman in Chicago on June 28, 2016.
Mehrdad Nazari, Director and ESIA & Sustainability Advisor at Prizma, will be attending the US consultation event in Chicago. Mehrdad spearheaded the first GRI-G3 certified training program in Canada, which was successfully expanded to the USA later on, and co-delivered about a dozen GRI-certified training events across Canada and the USA. Prizma's team has assisted numerous organizations, ranging from extractives to the World Bank, during their unique reporting journeys.
