Private company directors – are your tax returns up to date?
To help protect the integrity of our tax and super systems, we regularly receive data from a range of sources – such as banks and financial institutions – and match it against our own information to identify where people and businesses may not be reporting all their income.
Recent data matching activity has identified some private groups whose directors haven’t lodged an income tax return or may not have declared all their income.
We’ll be writing to these groups soon, however, if you know your tax returns aren’t up to date, now’s the time to lodge your return. Or, if you’ve lodged a tax return but haven’t included all your income, you can make an amendment or voluntary disclosure to us.
We’re here to help you get things back on track.
