Last week, the Israeli parliament passed Amendment No. 13 to the Protection of Privacy Law. This amendment will come into effect one year after its publication.

Expanded Definitions: The amendment updates definitions to include genetic, biometric, and criminal records. Personal information now encompasses any data about an identifiable individual, including online identifiers like IP addresses.
