Yes, this Diwali and Christmas & New Year personalise your greetings.

Especially, this year when we have all been facing uncertainty, sorrow, pain, losses, and more importantly because your customers chose to stay with you.

Your loyal customers deserve a lot more yet a small token of gratitude sent out personally would mean a lot.

You would have new customers who trusted you more than the existing vendors that made them jump ship. They need you to assure them that they did right.

A few old-timers with you may have shifted loyalties, tell them that you miss them and you are sorry that they had to go.

So here are a few ways you could personalise this year's Seasons Greetings

  • No one wants to feel that they are just a name on a big mailing list. Send out a greeting that looks like a letter to someone whom you know well. It makes the recipient feel important. Like this email sent out

You can use email broadcasting tools like MailChimp or HubSpot etc, design your own template, have the contact list whom you want to email and shoot out the most personalised greetings to all those clients whom you can not meet or call.


  • To your Star Clients, send out a video greeting. An appropriately dressed up you, with a broad smile and a warm, friendly tone, sending out the message of trust & gratitude, can create such a huge impact on your clients. Here is an example that may give you tons of video mailing ideas

You can send out The Year Gone By video, or Behind Scenes video or just a Video e-card. WhatsApp it, or use the mail broadcast tool. The idea is to make your clients feel that you care.

  • For your Strategic Clients, eg the decision-maker in b2b business, nothing can compensate a personal call to wish them. If you cant call or if they could not pick up your call, send out an audio message. Sound enthusiastic, grateful, warm, take your client's name and keep it short. This gesture makes one feel special.

It doesn't have to be a card. Just an audio message through WA or any IM that you use. You can even sing the greeting like the Jingle Bell for instance. Your client will remember you for days to come.

  • If you are into a social cause and this holiday, your social service is welcoming guests to contribute or participate, invite your important clients. Appeal to the nobler motives of others. It creates a level of respect that goes long term. Like a community service eg cleaning the beach or mental health awareness campaign, or webinars on positive psychology & emotional well being etc.

In return, they bless you with their loyalty, referrals, by being an advocate for you & your brand. You can't grow without their support. They need to trust you personally and believe in your personal brand to be wanting to do business with you. And your personal brand is the brand YOU."
