Priority & Time Management

Priority & Time Management

I’m always talking about prioritizing time and the importance of not wasting time. However, I want to shift gears a bit and say, Hello there, fellow procrastinators! Today, we’re going to talk about the art of wasting time. Now, I know some of you might be thinking, “But Coach Dan, wasting time is bad; you say it all the time!” To which I say, “Pssshhh, who cares about being productive when you can be hilarious?”

So, let’s dive right in and talk about some of the most entertaining ways to waste time.

  1. Social media stalking Ah, yes, the classic. Who needs to be productive when you can spend hours scrolling through your ex’s Instagram? Bonus points if you accidentally like a photo from 2015 and spend the next hour trying to devise a plausible excuse.
  2. Playing video games Let’s be honest, who hasn’t spent an entire day binging on their favorite game? Whether it’s Animal Crossing, Fortnite, or Candy Crush, video games are a great way to waste time and forget about all your responsibilities. Just be sure to hydrate and stretch those thumbs!
  3. Watching cat videos I mean, come on. Is nothing more entertaining than watching a cat try to jump and fail miserably? Or watching a cat knock over a vase and then look at you like it was your fault? I think not.
  4. Googling random things Ever wonder what the world’s largest rubber band ball looks like? Or what the average lifespan of a cockroach is? Well, wonder no more! With the power of Google, you can spend hours learning useless information you’ll probably never need.
  5. Daydreaming Who needs to be productive when you can just daydream about winning the lottery and buying a private island? Or about being a superhero and saving the world? The possibilities are endless; the best part is that you don’t have to move from your couch.

So, there you have it, folks—some of the most entertaining ways to waste time. Of course, if you’re feeling guilty about not being productive, you could always clean your room, do some laundry, do your daily planner, or read your goals. But where’s the fun in that?

Remember, wasting time isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes, it’s necessary to take a break and just have some fun. So, go ahead, put your feet up, and waste some time. I promise you won’t regret it.

But don’t forget to go back to work. You might regret that.
