Prioritising Product Availability

Supply chain issues have been a concern for many industries over the past 2 years, with unforeseen consequences for customers in the QSR industry.??

Having bought ahead last year Quail Digital has inventory for the next 12 months’ manufacturing. I’m glad to say that we have had no slowdown in our production for the past 2 years and we are manufacturing stock now of our Pro9, Pro 10 and Pro11 systems for Q4 2022 and Q1 2023. Component shortages will ease over the next 12 months, we are seeing this already, and spot prices will begin to reduce as the practice of over-stocking falls away, but my concern is that chip manufacturers are likely to focus to their biggest sellers sold into the automotive and aerospace and defence sectors, at the cost of run-time given over to chips destined for smaller or more specialist applications destined for our customers in other sectors. We’re determined that our customers will never need to wait.

One of the operationally critical parts of a drive thru is the headset system, and that too has not been immune to supply chain disruptions. With other suppliers struggling to meet routine supply we took the decision early on to double-down on inventory and hope that will bring respite to those QSR operators who have been relying on others for equipment.
