Biophilic Design?is the practice of?reconnecting people and nature
Designers have often used glass to combine art and functionality.?By adding a pattern to a glass partition, interest and privacy is achieved. By adding a logo or a company's vision statement, a company's brand and brand promise becomes part of the space design in a classy and creative way. Now we see that the importance of all the emotive things we associate with nature is making its way into glass art designs as well. The?graphics featured?in??New York City headquarters of?GSC Group, an international investment manager?of alternative assets, is a warm environment that immerses workers in the light and views of nature. Digital media artist?Cory Arcangel?photographed Central Park on a sunny spring day, digitally manipulated the images to give a pixelated texture, and installed them. Collaborators include:?Duggal Visual Solutions?output Cory’s mural on DuraClear (a high-end transparent photographic film used for backlit applications). Goldray Industries, in coordination with Duggal, fabricated glass panels incorporating the DuraClear film as an interlayer.?
Photography used in a public art project at four?Edmonton, Canada transit stations also utilized building materials already being used in the project and turned them into glass canvases for three renown artists.?Each art installation uses a proprietary combination of products including digitally printed, low iron, laminated glass
