Principal Environmental Consultant - Mining & Resources | Brisbane

Iron Cove Global is working with an environmental consultancy group that provides specialised technical services within resources, processing and energy sectors. The business has recently experienced exponential growth and is looking to strengthen the Brisbane leadership team with the inclusion of a newly created position - Principal Environmental Consultant.

Reporting to the General Manager, duties will include:

·?????Scope and manage multiple technical studies;

·?????Prepare, compile and edit environmental technical studies, deliver Environmental Impact Assessments and other technical and advisory reports for clients;

·?????Coordinate and prepare mine rehabilitation and closure planning documents;

·?????Research and interpret legislative requirements and processes;

·?????Work within multidisciplinary teams to meet specified project goals;

·?????Administer contracts and scopes of work with other consultants and contractors;

·?????Develop and maintain relationships with key project contacts.

Criteria:

·?????Tertiary Qualification in Environmental, Engineering or related discipline;

·?????A minimum of 8 years experience in resources or environmental consulting industries;

·?????Intimate understanding of QLD, Commonwealth, NT & NSW Approvals Legislation;

·?????A high level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office package;

·?????Efficient time management/organisational skills and project management;

·?????Be able to cultivate and nurture positive relationships with clients, co-workers and contractors;

·?????Able to work effectively in a collaborative team-based environment.
