PRINCE2? course: eLearning or classroom mode?
PRINCE2 is now widely used across all industries and sectors around the world. As a process-based methodology developed for use by the UK Government in the 1990s, PRINCE2 is based around distinct manageable project stages with approvals between stages and planning based on delivery of defined products. With a clearly defined governance approach, it's a flexible methodology that can fit many different types and sizes of projects which is why it is so widely used.
If your company is using or plans to use PRINCE2, what is the best way to get training and certification? You should be aware that PRINCE2 certification is managed through Accredited Training Organizations like Yellowhouse so you can take an online course or classroom mode and include the exams as well.
- The Foundation level has a 1-hour multi-choice exam
- The Practitioner level has an open-book 2.5 hour exam.

You should ask yourself if you need certification. Formal PRINCE2 training may not be suitable for everyone in your organisation. There are some positive benefits with non-exam based courses, allowing you to include your own case studies in the learning, or targeting workshops for senior managers.
Your training company should be able to help with customizing and integration.
