Prince Rupert Industrial Update
It is proving to be a very busy and exciting time in Prince Rupert. There are many projects on the go in the area. I took advantage of the fantastic light and took a quick flip around the island with Helijet to check out what was going on Saturday May 17, 2017.
We start the tour at the Prince Rupert Industrial Park. The first shot is of the Wainwright Marine yard.
Next off is the Broadwater Industries yard. The barges and tugs are owned by Broadwater. The yard beside with the barge ramp is CIC’s yard.
This is the Amix Group Prince Rupert Terminal chip loading facility.
Next is the mainland location for Kledo Construction.
Next on the tour is checking out the Alta Gas Camp operated by LandSea. And on the bottom left is Kristoff Trucking. And on top is the Skeena Pulp Mill Site which is currently being decommissioned.
Next is a shot of the Skeena Pulp Mill site that is in the process of being removed. It is soon to be the site and home of Pembina. It will be exciting to watch this location be developed for this project! Stay tuned!
The Ridley Island Rail and Utility Corridor will be the place to watch in the coming months! Just to name a couple of things going on Ridley Island, it will be home to the new Ray-Mont Logistics and Alta Gas!
Alta Gas is definitely a local highlight on the tour! It will be an amazing process watching this project come together over the next two years!
Ok, so I am just throwing this one in cause it is cool. Love shooting the Prince Rupert Grain. Must be the farmer in me! Also you can check out Quickload Logistics beside the terminal.
Prince Rupert would not be successful if it wasn't for CN Rail. So any update would be incomplete without them in it. Their commitment to our port success has been second to none. This is a sight I love to see. A sweet double stacked train, one out and one in! Things are rocking!
Never turn down an opportunity to capture a Saam Smit tug! A bright spot on our industrial action.
This is the new North Expansion of DP World Prince Rupert. Very nice new pavement, etc. Congratulation to all the partners.
Looks like the ferry terminal is getting some work done.
And of course the Westview Wood Pellet Terminal is a nice shiny addition to our waterfront.
Please feel free to share. Stay tuned for updates!

7 年This read like a good aerial photo album of all the industrial sites of Port Prince Rupert, with basis text descriptions. If you can't make the long trip.
