These last few months our travels continued in various visits to wineries, vineyards and events around the world. Jean Paul Varona, our co-founder, and Sylvain Boulet, Bordeaux Director,? embarked on an unparalleled experience witnessing one of the most important events in the world of wines, "PRIMEURS".

PRIMEURS is a premium sale of a grand cru classé wine before the final product has been finalized. This event took place in the beautiful city of Bordeaux, France where the wines are matured for 18 months in barrels inside the storehouses. This tradition ties the Chateau to the merchant.

Jean Paul and Sylvain Boulet, made this incredible trip to French lands to represent Consortium Wines to assess the 2021 vintage. Our experts tasted over 350 wines to provide to all our customers quality information to make smart wine purchasing decisions.

We carefully choose all our negociants with the aim of following our values as a company. The negociants that our experts visited were Barriere freres, Ulysse Cazabonne and Borie Manoux. Each one of them is an important pillar to complete the wine experience that we provide to all our clients.

As our expert Sylvain says, we at Consortium Wine and Spirits are very serious about the Bordeaux business and we strictly deal with reputable negociants assuring you and the end buyer of the provenance of the wines.? In fact, the only negociants we deal with are sourcing ex-chateau only, never from a third party (gray market), personal library or auctions.
