Prime Goes Urban! RHS Urban 2024
Composite Prime
Sustainable, Timber Alternative Composite Decking, Cladding & Fencing that Enhances Outdoor Life around the World ??
As urban spaces continue to evolve, the importance of sustainable and versatile living areas has never been more striking. Composite Prime is at heart, focused on Natural Evolution, and that’s why this show is so exciting for us! We are proudly supplying Redux Luxury Decking and HD Deck Dual for an inspiring project at the upcoming Royal Horticultural Society Urban Show, taking place at the Depot Mayfield , Manchester from the 18th to 21st of April 2024. This innovative event, dedicated to urban gardening and houseplants, marks a significant change from traditional gardening shows, both being housed entirely indoors but also offering a unique spotlight on the potential of urban spaces.
We are once again partnering with The Landscape Academy , as we supply materials for the construction of their four balcony gardens, designed to inspire homeowners dreaming of integrating such unique designs into their own space. Each Garden will be designed to face a different direction and show the various benefits of urban greening. These gardens are co-designed by Jason Williams , The Cloud Gardener, and talented students from The Manchester Metropolitan University as part of their Rise programme. With a modest budget of £500 for each garden, students have volunteered to bring these visions to life, showcasing the adaptability and creative flare you can bring to a small space. Post-show, these gardens will be relocated to the campus, serving as a living laboratory to document wildlife interactions and crop yields.
At Composite Prime, we are deeply committed to the environmental integrity of our products, which is why we have begun our Composite Prime Zero initiative, to look at the end of life process for Composite Decking and how it is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manor. HD Deck Dual is another of our eco-friendly designs, made completely from recycled plastics and FSC 100% hardwood flour.

The RHS Urban Show is more than just a show for innovative gardening techniques and materials; it's a platform for change, encouraging urban residents to rethink their living spaces. Head of Growth Matthew Spedding had the following to say about Composite Prime’s involvement in the show - ?
“In 2024 understanding and meeting the needs of our retail demographic is more crucial than ever, Composite Prime is embarking on a transformative journey. Our commitment to sustainability isn't just talk; it's about action, innovation, and learning. Over the next year, we're diving deep into the heart of what our customers really want, striving to improve not just our products, but our entire product lifespan to be more eco-conscious. It’s being around people at shows like RHS Urban where we can really shape this vision. ??“
