Primark staff are mourning the death of founder and chairman Arthur Ryan following a short illness. Founded in 1969 in Dublin as Penneys, the chain now operates 370 stores in 12 countries, with a turnover last year of £7.4bn. Despite having no online presence, Primark has weathered the high street downturn, reporting a 4.4% increase in like-for-like sales in the six months to March. Ever feel like you’re being watched? Transport for London will now track passengers travelling through London Underground’s network via their smartphone in a bid to better understand when, where and how commuters use the Tube. Previously limited to using data from Oyster or other payment cards, TfL will now collect information as passengers pass existing transmitters at each station. 5 年Recently McDonalds did a Lego Movie promotion and instead of giving away real (practically infinitely reusable) minifigures or pieces of Lego, they produced dedicated Lego related items far more likely to become rubbish :-(
