Pride Alert!

Do you know that the enemy entraps and deceives us by playing, painting and popularizing certain words, phrases and jargons? The word 'pride' is an example of such pretext. But because we are in the Information Age, ignorance is no longer a valid excuse, but instead a threat, risk and wound.

Alert! Alert! The enemy takes advantage of our ignorance, indifference and idleness.?Darkness is where the enemy thrives and strikes; we need to pursue the true source of truth, protection and light.?

Come with me as we step out of the dark about pride. Pride has many forms and levels, but its aim is to consume?our hearts, minds and life-styles. Pride is the thought and?feeling that one's achievements, qualities, or associations are singly and solely due to oneself. It conveys a sense of self-exaltation and?a tainted?view of one's own importance, independence and power. All?things are fashioned and fueled by God, so thanksgiving and glory belongs to God.

”Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.“ Proverbs 16:18-19 NKJV

Consider Satan's story and understand why he seeks our company - he said in his heart that he would ascend to the heavens and raise his throne above the stars of God. We know how his dethroning went, and also how it will go for him in the end, so let's be schooled and not fooled.

Heed this alert to the dangers and deception of pride. Choose to?walk wide of pride and instead hold humility very close to?your side.
