Price or Quality? What you need to know about price secrets with Chinese suppliers?
In my past near 20 years working experience with foreign buyers, one of the most answers I heard was that " your prices are too high". However, is it true? Let me share you two real stories with my clients happened these days.
A few days ago, one of my old client inquired our 60gsm fiberglass roofing mat. No doubt, he told me the same as I mentioned " your rate is too hight" after he received my offer. It is hard to believe because I already offered a very very low price. I have great confidence that no one can beat it at all. To dig out the reason why others can offer cheaper, I asked him the price he got from others. He is nice to tell me the rate. Surely, it is a very good price, but it was too good and even less than our production cost. I took my calculator and checked again and again. I considered everything related to the price I offered. However, I still have no idea about why others price is so cheap. Suddenly, one idea came to my mind that what it will be if I offered 55gsm one. Bingo, that price he received is based on 55gsm, not 60gsm at all. The tolerance is ±5gsm for this product. So, if they claimed 60gsm, the shipment is loading with 55gsm. It is acceptable. But, we never do business like this way. What do you think?
Another story is also about the glass fiber mat. One client told us the same:" your price is too high. we buy almost half price from China before." It was depressing. We asked him to send us some photos of the cheap material he received before. We were shocked once received his photos. It was completely trash product we never sold. I searched online by myself and found there were someone used to sell some off grade materials as the rubbish. It was flowed to our client's country.

Is the price your prioritized consideration to make a decision when you place an order? Of cause not, as a skilled buyer, your NO.1 consideration is SAFETY. The material's quality is a key to your finished produts. If it is not good quality one, your finished product will destroy your reputation.

Everyone knows you get what you pay for. The secrets of cheap price is mainly as below reasons:
1, fake products, not the same as offered
2, poor quality with poor raw materials
3, production with mixed virgin materials and reclyed materials
4, use the tolerance rule to reduce the production cost
5, over stocked products or off grade products sold as rubbish
If you got a extremely good price, please be very careful. Most likely, it is a trap.
