This May really got me excited in terms of new stuff arriving in Qlik Sense! This morning in Qlik Cloud the Sense script editor updated and I found the (announced) preview data section .

I felt like a dinosaur that I am still one of the guys who write script, not let it write by ChatGPT - and who solves quite complex data manipulations. I thought, since a lot of focus is always on simplicity, that this part around script editor will not see much new stuff - but I was proven wrong.

Now you can preview a table just below the script, not EXIT SCRIPT and change to the datamodelviewer (although this should also see some improvements!) ...

Also, some Qlik Sense client-managed (Windows) May 2024 release had some nice new features:

  • Preload an app in memory (not with the first user only)
  • Colors have also a transparency layer
  • Straight table improvments
  • Pivot table improvements (Null value styling, yeah)
