This week the editors have selected several reports of recent findings – on the state of the climate in Europe, on understanding the dynamics of earthquakes, and how better building construction can withstand seismic shocks. We also have articles about at-risk communities, and some encouraging initiatives, like anticipatory action and photo essays on adaptation.

11 个月A?strategy without strategy and enough well planned sub tactics?combined is like a?song without melody, a?recipe without ingredients, or a?map without directions. It lacks coherence, purpose, and direction. It’s akin to wandering in a dense forest without a compass, hoping to stumble upon treasure. Without a clear plan or guiding principles, such a strategy becomes a mere collection of empty words, or 'dis-interconnected components like a rattling engine with the parts not tightly functioning. This can be devoid of actionable steps or meaningful impact. To solve each and every one of the problems in the world there are already answers more or less to everything in terms of components, in terms of tactics. What's missing is a global infrastructure that people, companies, governments can go to that collects, collates, aligns with hyperlinks all of these millions of tactics that can be learned quickly and instigated into vastly replicable strategy within villages all of the world. If you are in a rural farmer in Africa, The Middle East or South America, your crops failing due to climate, are you going to know the 100 best Youtube Vids of how to reverse and save the situation before next harvest?

11 个月Great articles. Thank you for sharing, To multiply capacity for all efforts > 1000 fold, three tactics can accomplish this separately or combined for better results for all. 1/ A country at war is 194 countries poorer. Wars more effectively exited from. When the media narrative is mostly a peace making narrative, that makes war appear and be 'more unacceptable' than is considered. Wars are the primary factor slowing down progress to get to a world more in alignment with the UN's SDG's. So to have less wars requires a more narratives of peace making PAST and PRESENT. That enables Multi-Polar pressure to mediate from a more real inter-dependency position. 2/ 'Integrated Strategies' incorporating components, promoted. This enables replication faster. A Big Strategy model explains how its possible to make an infrastructure for funding and better knowledge use and sharing. That could be a policy and then the world has a plan that governments, companies, organisations can work with, benefit and benefit others much faster in every sphere. 3/ Youtube, University- Promote links relevant to the people above so they can learn, use, multiply data, know how exponentially.
