As I stood before a room filled with vibrant, passionate, and empowered women at the Legacy Church Pretty in Pink event, I felt a profound sense of gratitude for the opportunity to serve as MC. It was a day unlike any other; a celebration of womanhood, faith, and the many hats we wear throughout the different stages of our lives. Yet, among all the roles we juggle, we were reminded that the most important hat is the one God designed for each of us.
This sisterhood event was a powerful reminder that, as women, we are multifaceted. We are mothers, daughters, wives, professionals, friends, and caregivers. But above all, we are God's daughters, uniquely crafted for a divine purpose. Throughout the day, we delved into various topics that affect us all, and each speaker brought a profound depth of wisdom, encouragement, and insight.
Mojabeng Senekal Ndebele, MPH opened the session with a reflection on health and beauty. reference to 1 Peter 3:3-6 we were remind that true beauty begins within. While it's easy to focus on outward appearances, we she encouraged us cultivate the "imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit" that is precious in God’s sight. It was a beautiful lesson that our outward expression should reflect the purity and peace of our hearts. As we nurture our bodies, we must first focus on nurturing our souls.
Dr. Genevieve Da Silver’s session on Women in Christ and Mental Health was deeply impactful. She reminded us that in a world where we often feel pressured to uphold a fa?ade of strength, embracing our vulnerability is where true growth begins. As she shared, "Your mental health shapes every aspect of your life, your thoughts, emotions, and actions." I was inspired to reflect on the author and the finisher of our Faith, reminded that in a world full of noise, the voice of God is our anchor. His truth defines our identity, purpose, and worth. Her message resonated deeply, encouraging us to let God’s truth be the guiding voice in our lives. By embracing vulnerability and aligning our inner world with His voice, we can navigate life's challenges with clarity and resilience.

'Me Libuseng Titi shared valuable insights on Financial Literacy, emphasizing the importance of understanding our money personalities, whether we are savers, investors, big spenders, shoppers, or debtors. She inspired us with her words: "Master your money, and you’ll master your future." Her session was a powerful reminder that financial well-being is key to overall well-being, and good money habits allow us to experience freedom and peace, not just materially but spiritually as well.
Dr. Lineo Letlala’s session on Women’s Health was equally empowering. She passionately advocated for women to prioritize their health and lead by example. Her reminder was clear: "Your health is your greatest asset—nurture it." Through proper nutrition and intentional preparation for every phase of life, we can truly thrive. Her words encouraged us to take ownership of our health and recognize that when we invest in our well-being, we empower not only ourselves but also those we care for.
As the day unfolded, I felt incredibly blessed to be part of a community of women who are not only committed to their personal growth but also to lifting each other up. From the heartfelt conversations to the laughter and shared experiences, it was a day of true sisterhood; a day where we were reminded that we are never alone in this journey.
Reflecting on this event, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to use my talents and gifts in service to God, my church, and the incredible community of women that God is building up. Being an MC for the Pretty in Pink event was not just about leading the program; it was about being part of something much bigger; a movement of women dedicated to becoming the best versions of themselves in Christ.
Our Pastor Rene' mason in her Love letter titled " Dear Daughter of God" reminded us that while we wear many hats in life, the most important one is the one God has uniquely designed for us. It is the hat of purpose, love, grace, and strength. As we continue to navigate life’s many roles, may we always seek to wear that hat proudly, knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, called to shine God’s light in every sphere of our lives.
Thank you to Legacy Church for hosting such an empowering event and to all the women who participated and shared their wisdom. Together, we are stronger, and together, we are building a community of women who are unstoppable in their faith, their purpose, and their love for one another.
With love and gratitude,
