Pretty in Pink
Now that winter has arrived, It's that time of the year again when Mumbaikars will get to witness our very own 'cherry blossom' festival. If you're yearning to take a trip to Japan but cannot due to the coronavirus pandemic, worry not, because one can now experience a similar pink bloom in the city itself. If you've been driving by the Eastern suburbs of the city, chances are you've caught this arrey of a beautiful tree in bloom along the road at Vikhroli. The entire stretch is a sight to behold with the pink flowers carpeting the entire road, mesmerising the passersby. Thanks to the city's municipal body for maintaining this.?
What’s More?
Pink Trumpet trees grow around 20 to 30 feet in height and have had a grey fissured trunk. The flowers have a white throat with yellow stripes. They bloom in large clusters during the spring season. These trees have an impressive flowering display and are used as ornamental trees in the tropical world.
