Over the last 11years at Vital Energi Utilities Limited I have been part of an incredible and fast growing dynamic team which has delivered prestigious decarbonisation and transformational energy projects. The Leeds PIPES district heating network now extends beyond 30km of pipeline, connecting 2,375 residential and 28 commercial buildings with many more connections still to come. By connecting to the City wide heat network each Customer is gaining access to low carbon resilient heat and an energy pathway to Net Zero.

Our pipeline of new and existing customers with Net Zero and Decarbonisation Objectives provides a unique opportunity to be part of an expanding team who support the energy transition and make a meaningful difference every day. Our office locations have expanded to include Bellshill (Glasgow), Newcastle, Blackburn, Swansea, Hereford and Holborn (London). We have further regional locations planned as we deliver on our continuing commitments to make a positive social impact within the Communities we work. Our bespoke Training Centre at our Blackburn base has become home to our Emerging and Future Leader groups, Graduates, and Apprentices as we create a workforce for the future.

Over the last 12months we have seen the integration of our business units as we operate as One Team, and a Business without Boundaries in order that we accelerate our growth through collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. By Protecting our Planet for Future Generations we have created a WHY which connects colleagues, teams and our organisation inclusively with our Customers. We have now delivered our Climate Education programme to nearly 20,000 children since its launch 2years ago, which all started with our colleagues children at our Blackburn Training Centre.

The next few years will continue to see huge opportunities for development as we prioritise our services for our Customers benefit and support each of them with the transition to low and zero carbon energy technologies.
