The Prestige Hotel Awards' hunt for Scotland's TOP 100 begins.

The Prestige Hotel Awards are back for a second year, and on the hunt for Scotland’s Top 100 Hotels.

Following an impressive inaugural year with over 550 attendees at the Gala Final in February at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel the Prestige Hotel Awards are set to relaunch for 2018. This year, the public has the chance to highlight their ‘best of the best’ to the awards’ panel of expert judges. People across Scotland can choose their ‘best of the best’ hotel hideaways and vote online.

Once the public vote has closed, the Top 100 supported venues will be longlisted and visited by a member of the awards’ team of judges. The top scorers will be awarded at the Gala Final in February 2018.

Gongs will be handed out to Scotland’s Best Front of House, Scotland’s Best Golf Hotel, and Scotland’s Best Spa Hotel to name a few. The top scoring hotel across the board will be crowned Hotel of the Year, an accolade they can carry for the whole of 2018.

Warren Paul, CEO of the Prestige Hotel Events said: “The new format for this year’s awards will ensure greater exposure for Scottish hotels, while staying true to the ideals of the awards. Hoteliers will be rewarded on their merit alone, and we’re hoping to uncover some hidden gems.”

Craig Gebbie, head of hotels, Scotland and North East England at Allied Irish Bank (GB), title sponsor of the Prestige Hotel awards, said: “The Scottish hospitality sector is a huge success story for our country, and as a bank we’re proud to have funded hotels in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ayrshire, Inverness and beyond.

“Awards are a signpost of excellent customer service, innovation and a business model that works - they don’t just attract the attention of guests; banking teams definitely also take note of those achievements.”

Public voting for the second Prestige Hotel Awards will be open from September to December, with the Top 100 announced before Christmas. All 100 will then be judged before the Gala Final in Glasgow’s Double Tree by Hilton Hotels on Sunday 18 February.

Votes should be cast directly on the website www.prestigehotelawards.co.uk
