Pressured for Answers
Today's devotional is from What Would Jesus Ask You Today?
"If anyone asks you, 'Why are you doing this?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly'" - Mark 11:3.
Sometimes obedience to God's commands will direct you to do things that don't seem to make sense, like giving when you yourself only have a little or being kind to someone who has been unkind to you. People may ask you the reason you are doing something that doesn't make sense to them, but don't be under pressure to explain the rationale behind your actions. Just tell them the Lord directed you to do it, and then get busy doing it!
Are you being intimidated by those closest to you who are demanding answers from you for what you do? Or are you hesitant to obey because of what people may think? Read Acts 21:12-14 to see how Paul responded to those who questioned his actions and then get busy doing what God has directed you to do.
