Pressure Injury

Pressure Injury

At a hospital where I was brought in to consult on high pressure injury rates in the ICU, multiple previous attempts had strained staff and accountability without success. As an unbiased new set of eyes, I led a multidisciplinary team to implement targeted solutions.

We enhanced staff training on early identification and prevention using the Braden Scale, introduced wearable sensors to monitor patient repositioning, and upgraded beds with pressure-relieving technology. We also developed a real-time dashboard to track progress and foster accountability.

Within six months, pressure injuries dropped by 30%, significantly improving patient outcomes and helping secure high safety marks for accreditation as that was cited as one of their wins!

If you're facing similar challenges in patient care or looking to elevate safety standards, I’d love to help you implement innovative, evidence-based solutions that work. Let's connect and discuss how we can transform your healthcare outcomes together. #healthcarestandards #QI #qualityimprovement #accreditation #pressureinjuries #woundcaremanagement #standardsofcare #project #patientoutcomes
