Press release: Young football fans score free tickets to Fife Zoo.

Keepers at Fife Zoo recently welcomed a 7ft brown bear to the zoo, as Dunfermline Athletic Football Club’s larger-than-life mascot, Sammy the Tammy, visited the zoo to celebrate an exciting new partnership. From the 2023/24 season, Dunfermline Athletic Football Club 's ‘Young Pars’ supporters club members will receive a free ticket to the zoo in Ladybank, Cupar as part of the football club’s renewed benefit programme for supporters.

Dunfermline AFC were recently crowned as Scottish League One title winners securing promotion to the Scottish Championship and the new ticket offer courtesy of Fife Zoo gives young fans even more reason to celebrate with every child getting a ticket to the zoo as part of their club membership for the 2023/24 season.

Earlier this month, Dunfermline AFC’s mascot, Sammy, went viral after appearing to drink ‘Falkirk Tears’ from an inflatable champagne bottle in the aftermath of the title celebrations. Fife Zoo Director, Michael Knight said ‘’We’re always looking for new opportunities to secure collaborations and partnerships with businesses across Fife and we were delighted to welcome Sammy the Tammy to the zoo to launch our new partnership with Dunfermline AFC’s official children’s fan club. We’re optimistic that the club can have another fantastic season and we’d certainly be willing to welcome

Sammy and his army of young Tammy’s back to the zoo for further celebrations at the end of next season.’’
