[September 2024] EK Communications, soon to rebrand as Kilburn Communications, has appointed Hamish Kilburn as Company Director. The announcement comes as the Kent-based PR and marketing agency – 21 years young – enters a new chapter of growth; to open into new markets, such as hospitality and interior design, while strengthening its firm position in the dental, healthcare and renewable energy sectors.

Kilburn has more than a decade of experience in the publishing arena, including being the Editor of Hotel Designs for six years and, separately, the host of Marriott Bonvoy’s leading global podcast, Travel By Design.

The 31-year-old presenter and media consultant, who has also held editorial positions within the healthcare and viral entertainment publishing sector, commented on his appointment: “It is a tremendous honour to take the reins from my incredible mother, Erica, who launched EKC in 2000 when I was just seven years old. While I found my own lane, which led to me to become a journalist and a podcast host, I grew up with EKC and I have watched it evolve over the years.

“Commercially, I am excited about the future of this PR and marketing agency, which will soon evolve into Kilburn Communications.
